Overview

Kordar is the homeworld of the Kordos, a species that evolved in an arid environment dominated by rocky deserts, vast plateaus, and mountain ranges formed over millions of years through mineral sedimentation.

The planet’s geological activity gave rise to massive deposits of metallic minerals and silicates in distinct colors, creating its characteristic “Striped World” appearance. Long mineral bands traverse mountains and canyons, forming patterns visible from space.

The scarcity of water resources forced the Kordos to develop a civilization highly efficient in mining, engineering, and heavy industry. Thanks to the abundance of Plastirion, naturally occurring within ancient layers of mineralized mud and metallic silicates, as well as numerous rare minerals used in advanced technological components, Kordar became one of the largest industrial producers in the U.S.F.

Competition for these valuable resources forged a disciplined society with a strong military tradition. The Kordos are recognized as exceptional warriors, renowned for their physical endurance, discipline, and tactical expertise in both ground and space combat. Their armies have participated in numerous U.S.F. military campaigns.

Today, Kordar stands as a pillar of the Zuthorios Sector and a founding member of the U.S.F. Its vast industrial complexes produce strategic materials, weaponry, and armored vehicles, supported by an extensive network of military academies.

Planetary View

From orbit, Kordar displays unmistakable, long, wavy bands of reddish, ochre, golden, orange, purple, and dark gray minerals across its plateaus. Small interior seas and blue lakes contrast against the arid landscape. The atmosphere is relatively clear, and thin white clouds drift over the planet, while during the night, massive concentrations of city lights reveal the extent of its industrial base, all under the gaze of three small moons.

Surface View

Walking on Kordar means traversing vast mineral deserts where mountains and cliffs exhibit spectacular multicolored geological layers. The ground consists of reddish, fine-dusted ochre soil, with narrow rivers winding through deep canyons forming small oases. The horizon is dominated by immense industrial cities filled with metallic skyscrapers, foundries, and refineries. Cargo trains and aircraft are constantly active, and the sky usually remains clear with slight, fine mineral haze under the sun.

Fauna and Flora

Small mineral-adapted reptiles, large plateau herbivores, and hardy vegetation such as metallic cacti and deep-rooted shrubs.
