Overview
Sorana is a planet dominated by blue-gray oceans and fragmented continents shaped by intricate coastlines, bays, and natural waterways. Its surface features a combination of densely vegetated green regions, extensive beige and light-gray rocky terrain, and numerous inland bodies of water that create diverse coastal landscapes. Its fjords and archipelagos are among the planet’s most distinctive geographical features.
The distribution of oceans and continents supports a wide variety of ecosystems, ranging from temperate forests and humid regions to rocky coastlines and extensive areas of low vegetation. Sorana had no native intelligent civilizations when it was discovered and subsequently colonized by the Brionians from Briontor. Today, it is an important inhabited world within the USF, known for its natural resources, marine ecosystems, and settlements distributed primarily along its coastlines.
Planetary View
From space, Sorana displays a striking combination of blue-gray oceans, green continents, and extensive beige-colored landmasses. Its continents feature extremely irregular coastlines, with numerous peninsulas, islands, and ocean inlets forming intricate systems of fjords and archipelagos. Large green areas represent regions of dense vegetation, contrasting with lighter rocky terrain in shades of beige and pale gray.
The planet possesses a subtle blue-white atmosphere that softly outlines its entire circumference. Its overall appearance is natural, humid, and geographically diverse, with a balanced visual distribution of land and water.
Surface View
Sorana’s surface combines extensive green vegetation with rocky terrain in shades of beige and gray. Its coastlines feature irregular geographical formations, including deep bays, small islands, and natural waterways surrounded by vegetation.
The oceans display dark blue and blue-gray tones, while inland regions alternate between forests, green plains, and exposed mineral-rich terrain. The sky has a light blue appearance, with slightly warm illumination provided by its two stars.
Brionian cities are primarily located along coastlines and major bodies of water, integrating modern architecture with the surrounding natural landscape.
Fauna and Flora
Giant conifers, temperate forests, ferns, bioluminescent mosses, coastal shrubs, giant marine algae, cold-water fish, cetaceans, seabirds, large alpine herbivores, and small forest predators.
