Overview
Astra is the homeworld of the Astranians and the most important world in the Astra Cluster, located in the Zuthorios Sector. For centuries, it has constituted one of the pillars of the Union of Federated Systems thanks to its massive population, political stability, and high technological development. Astranian culture is characterized by prioritizing dialogue, cooperation, and diplomacy, which is why the planet hosts numerous government institutions, interstellar organizations, corporate headquarters, and galactic negotiation centers.
Its cities have been carefully planned to integrate with the natural environment, preserving vast stretches of forest and volcanic landscapes while enormous metropolises concentrate economic, scientific, and administrative activity. Astraea symbolizes prosperity, stability, and unity within the UFS, being considered one of the most influential and secure worlds in the known galaxy.
Planetary View
From orbit, Astraea presents an intense contrast between immense turquoise-blue oceans and large continents covered by dense tropical rainforests of green, purple, and dark blue. Ancient volcanic flows gave rise to vast expanses of black obsidian that run across the continents, forming dark bands visible from space. The atmosphere is very humid and generates extensive white cloud systems that partially cover the surface year-round. Polar ice caps are small due to the dominant tropical climate. During the night, extensive networks of urban lights illuminate the main inhabited regions, evidencing the planet’s massive population concentration. Its two small barren moons complete an elegant and easily recognizable orbital landscape within the Zuthorios Sector.
Surface View
The surface of Astraea combines lush tropical rainforests with wide plains of black obsidian polished by millions of years of geological activity. Rivers of crystal-clear water cross forests dominated by giant trees with green, purple, and blue foliage, while vegetation covers much of the volcanic landscape. The sky usually remains clear during the morning, giving way to large white clouds that produce warm afternoon rains. Astranian cities stand out for their elegant white and crystalline skyscrapers, surrounded by parks, gardens, artificial lakes, and wide tree-lined avenues. The lighting from the Class-F star provides very bright days and vivid colors, creating a warm, vibrant, and extremely pleasant environment for life.
